Play (or even make your own) board game together. Choose wisely, you don’t still want to be playing monopoly four hours later, let alone it all end in a competitive argument!

Visit a market or car boot sale

Enjoy a lazy Sunday morning by browsing the local car boot sale for bargains and general bric-a-brack, you’ll never know what you might discover.

Find out about local free or cheap tourist attractions such as museums or galleries, get cultured!

Treasure hunt

With a bit of planning you can come up with a truly memorable and completely original date on the cheap with a home made treasure or scavenger hunt. Write some clues and lead your other half to special places that mean something to you both, end with a surprise!

Give massages

Give each other massages. Don’t know know how? Look it up online and teach yourselves!

Cook!

Make something tasty for him or for her, or even bake together! Whether it’s a nice romantic meal or a sweet treat, it’s fun, cheap and can be done all in the home.
